Since 2005, the data from the delivery scanning can be transmitted to the mobile data terminals almost in real-time. The data record includes the electronically recorded signature of the recipient and his name.

Even failed delivery attempts are recorded immediately. If the consignment is still in transit, an exact time of arrival can be worked out.

Geocoding in LCL production

Furthermore, with a new scanning technology going online in 2011 throughout the whole LCL network, it will be possible to locate the delivery vehicle permanently and to process further geocodes.
