Since May 2011, the 24plus app for the Apple iPhone can be downloaded from the App Store for free.
The app enables mobile tracking of the intelligent kind: With a single entry, users can not only re
quest status information about 24plus shipments, but also about those of leading parcel service providers, which are (in alphabetical order) DHL, DPD, FedEx, GLS, Hermes, TNT Express and UPS. Thereby, the 24plus app enables holistic customer service and a new way of providing information.
If it is possible for the user to scan the barcode on the consignment’s shipping label with his iPhone, he can even forgo entering tedious strings of numbers.
Regardless of the shipment number, all entries are sent as queries to multiple logistics databases via the 24plus app. This integration services is assumed by the IT service provider Euro-Log AG from Hallbergmoos, at whose computer centre all 24plus data is processed.
Via the app, the shipping process can be listed on the iPhone or displayed as geographical repres
entation of the single interface scans.
