Information logistics at 24plus logistics network

The processes in the LCL net of 24plus involve a high IT usage. The forwarding inhouse systems of all 24plus partners are integrated in a data network that allows structured communication between the distribution centres. Each consignment that passes through the logistics net between the partners is recorded electronically and monitored at all stages of the packing level.  Consequently, since 1996, 24plus has used NVE Barcodes in accordance with EAN 128.

Data is faster than LCL

The system is also pro-active: Before a package of a consignment arrives at the next station of the logistic chain, it is advised to the 24plus partner there. Because consignment data is faster than the consignment, a fast and secure disposition is guaranteed.
